Sunny is a brand builder and a creative leader who specializes in transforming complex strategic challenges into engaging and surprisingly creative solutions. At heart, Sunny is a storyteller, having written TV commercials, directed videos and designed award-winning ad campaigns that include animated ad banners and landing sites. He has pitched and won business, managed big teams and a few small ones. If you ask him he'll tell you he believes the most effective marketing is often the simplest and most direct.
This all began at age three when his mom, a fashion designer, placed him under her worktable and gave him a pencil and a sketchpad. From there, he leveraged his love for the visual arts into more than two decades of award winning multinational agency experience, in Singapore, Australia and the U.S.
Through the years at FCB, JWT, Lintas, Anderson & Lembke, Doremus and McCann MRM, Sunny has worked with some of the most creative folks in the industry and produced breakthrough campaigns of his own, in print and digital media, for global brands like Microsoft, Roche, Creative Labs, Compaq, HP, Hitachi, Autodesk, Credit Suisse, Citibank and Wells Fargo. His award-winning work for San Francisco’s Hep B Free movement gained national attention and was adopted in cities across the U.S.
Most recently, Sunny was the Director of Creative Communications at UC Davis's central office where he was tasked to elevate the university's brand on campus as well as UC Davis Health.
